The warmth of wood. The calm of water € 1,315,000

The plan was to head down to the Arenal, go for a stroll and find somewhere for dinner. But someone has brought out a few things to nibble on, the conversation is flowing, and the Montgó is beginning to change colour. Perhaps tomorrow.
Some homes have a way of letting the day unfold. Lunch turns into a swim. A few pages of a book become an entire afternoon. Friends drop by for a drink and end up staying for dinner.
This villa in Puerta Fenicia, Jávea, is that kind of place. Terraces for gathering together and quieter corners for time to yourself. The sea in the distance, orange groves, Cape San Antonio and the Montgó—a view that still makes you pause, however long you have lived here.
Upstairs is where everyone comes together. High ceilings and windows wrapping around the living and dining area let the light reach deep into the room. White walls, wood and soft, natural tones make it feel instantly welcoming. You put your things down, slip off your shoes and settle in for a while. Beyond the glass, the landscape carries on at its own pace.
Step outside onto an open terrace of around 40 m². There is room to lay the table, invite your favourite people over and realise how long it has been since you spent an afternoon together without checking the time.
The kitchen, with its island and partly open layout, keeps you connected to the living room. You can follow the conversation while making dinner, then step straight onto another terrace, partly covered and partly open to the sky. Because sunshine is lovely in Jávea, but come August, a shady spot is just as welcome. A separate utility room and guest toilet complete this floor.
Downstairs, the mood is quieter. Three double bedrooms all open onto the terrace beside the pool, so you can step outside before you have even made your way upstairs. Stretch, take in the morning and perhaps enjoy the first swim of the day while everyone else is still asleep.
The main bedroom has a dressing room and an en-suite bathroom, with two further bathrooms serving the other bedrooms.
The 12 × 4-metre pool is long enough for a few laps, though some days you might prefer to sit on the edge with your feet in the water. Trees, greenery and stone walls frame the garden around this part of the house. With the bedroom terrace just outside your door, you might find yourself leaving your towel ready the night before.
Natural stone and wood bring warmth to the villa’s contemporary lines. Their textures catch the light and keep the house feeling inviting long after summer has passed. Ducted air conditioning and an air-source heat pump for hot water add everyday comfort.
And when you do feel like heading out, the beach, Jávea’s old town and your favourite local spots are a short drive from Puerta Fenicia.
Just be prepared: you may find everyone prefers coming to yours.
